According to the experts, the only way to make sure you are getting the correct sized hot water boiler is to do a comprehensive heat loss. There are firms that will come to your home and perform this service but after calling several of these I realized this could cost close to $1,000. At the other end of the spectrum, you could use one of the free on-line calculators that are available. However, you better be sure that the information and methodology are correct. The best way is to use Comfort-Calc. Comfort-Calc is the best of both worlds
